Best Seller Back on Shelves

LYNCHBURG, Tenn. – March 30, 2009 – This week Jasper Daniel’s came under scrutiny when their book was taken off the shelves of a Mark’s and Jordan bookstore in Gulf Sands, Fla. The book, written by Master Distiller, Jeff Arney, depicts the rich history of the Jasper Daniel’s distillery. The manager disapproved of the book and demanded that it be displayed or any copies sold in the store.
Marks and Jordan have since stepped in and removed the manager from his position. “It is unfortunate this event occurred, but we are closely working on a solution with Jasper Daniel’s and will continue to collaborate with them in the future,” Public Relations Director Brandon Jones said.
The bestselling book will be back on display and available once again at the Gulf Sands location beginning March 31, 2009.
