Opening Celebration at the ne Jasper Daniel’s Distillery
SPRING CITY, Tenn. – January 7, 2010 – The new Jasper Daniel’s Distillery opened and resumed business today. About 550 guests attended the day long opening celebration and witnessed the beginning of a new era with the same fine whiskey that millions appreciate.
The celebration began at noon when CEO Jeff Arney cut the red ribbon at the front door of the new distillery. He gave a brief speech about the hard times that he and his staff went through to arrive at that very moment. He showed his appreciation for his staff’s commitment and long hours of work and addressed them all as his “family.”
Many people wanted to come out to give their support to Jasper Daniel’s and also get a first glimpse of the new distillery. However, some wanted to admire and show their appreciation for all the hard work that the Jasper Daniel’s public relations communications team did to overcome the crisis and secure Jasper Daniel’s integrity.

Best Seller Back on Shelves
LYNCHBURG, Tenn. – March 30, 2009 – This week Jasper Daniel’s came under scrutiny when their book was taken off the shelves of a Mark’s and Jordan bookstore in Gulf Sands, Fla. The book, written by Master Distiller, Jeff Arney, depicts the rich history of the Jasper Daniel’s distillery. The manager disapproved of the book and demanded that it be displayed or any copies sold in the store.
Marks and Jordan have since stepped in and removed the manager from his position. “It is unfortunate this event occurred, but we are closely working on a solution with Jasper Daniel’s and will continue to collaborate with them in the future,” Public Relations Director Brandon Jones said.
The bestselling book will be back on display and available once again at the Gulf Sands location beginning March 31, 2009.

LYNCHBURG, Tenn. – April 7, 2009 – The Jasper Daniel’s distillery has been dealing with the recent discovery that the water in their well is drying up. Community Article
LYNCHBURG, TN – MARCH 7, 2009 –
J. Vargas, Jasper Daniel’s Community PR Director –
Decline in the production of Cave Spring Water in the Hollow has raised concerns within the Jasper Daniels Distillery, however, even though this portrays a serious matter we urge the community not to begin to worry or panic.
As many know, the spring pumps out 800 gallons of cool, pure, iron-free cave spring water and a decline in production usually may occur during dry hot summer’s months that we have not yet experienced this year.
Jasper Daniels has taken it upon themselves to take care of this problem as quickly and efficiently as possible.
By partnering up with Dr. Flint Smart and his wonderful team from The Geology Science Strategy Team Jasper Daniels will get more insight on this issue and come up with a consensus.
“The Geology team has already provided us with a lot of insight on the issue and has also assured us that our assumptions are correct and that within 12 months the spring will be completely dry,” said Jeff Arney, CEO of Jasper Daniels. “We are considering many possible strategies to find an alternate water source to continue our legacy.”
Depending on what information arises, moving the Distillery to a different location in the area will have to occur in order to have the new water source close and handy. The current Distillery will remain open for tours, so that people can see how it all began. Jasper Daniels will also continue to host the yearly invitational BBQ and all other special events that are associated with the Distillery and sponsored by Jasper Daniels.
“Jasper Daniels has made it known to their employees that they will all be able to keep their jobs and everyone will make the transition to where ever the spring water takes them, “ said Chelsea Spence, PR Director of Communications. “We will also hopefully be able to make a difference in the economy and create more jobs!”
The staff at Jasper Daniels would like to invite anyone who has any questions or concerns to please log onto and follow their blog at http://thisisaschoolproject.blogspot.com/ to stay updated on this issue. Jasper Daniels has made Tennessee’s finest whiskey for the last 140 years and will do everything in its power to continue the legacy for many years to come.
